Attendees will learn more about what bitcoin is, its history, what blockchain technology is, how transactions are stored on the blockchain, different consensus algorithms, various technical topics, differences between permissioned and permissionless blockchains and why these differences are important. The Ethereum blockchain and its differences to the bitcoin blockchain will also be discussed including smart contracts and what these contracts can be used for. A quick look at Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and existing and possible regulation of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology and ICOs will also be explored.
